Out-of-court examination
An examination under a contract with a citizen, organisation, lawyer or party representative before the procedural appointment of a court examination.
When it is used
- before submitting a claim or bringing a court action;
- for negotiations between the parties;
- to assess a batch's condition and value;
- to prepare questions for a future court-appointed expert;
- to understand whether commodity examination competence is sufficient or a laboratory is needed.
How the result is prepared
Depending on the task, the result may be a consultation, written specialist opinion or analytical document. If the court subsequently appoints an examination, that will be a separate procedural format.
Inspection or documents
The possibility of working without direct access to the object is determined by the questions and quality of the materials. Assessing many characteristics of food products requires inspection and documentation of packaging, labelling and condition; documentary data is sufficient for some questions.
